Family

I was born in Dublin, Ireland and my family immigrated to Australia when I was three. We stayed with my grandparents in Scarborough before my parents bought our family home at the top of Callistemon Street in Greenwood. I grew up surrounded by the warmth of family, friends, and a community that shaped who I am today.

I grew up as an active member of All Saints Parish, where my family was involved for many years. I loved attending the All Saints playgroup, and later celebrated my Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation at All Saints Catholic Church in Greenwood. These experiences grounded me in faith, community, and the importance of supporting one another.

From Year 1 through to Year 7, I attended Liwara Catholic Primary School. I loved my school days – after my first day, my Dad asked me the highlight of my day, and without missing a beat, I answered “Lunch!” Not for the food, but for the opportunity to connect with my class friends. Nothing has changed – I still love connecting with people in our community, listening to their stories, and building relationships that matter.

I also proudly participated in Greenwood Girl Guides, exploring, learning, and growing alongside my neighbours, Brooke and Amy. Those years taught me leadership, resilience and the joy of being part of a close-knit, supportive community.

I spent countless afternoons playing basketball at Warwick Stadium with my high school best friend, Beck. Those games weren’t just about sport – they were about teamwork, laughter, and connecting with friends in our community. Moments like these taught me the value of friendship, dedication, and being part of something bigger than myself.
