Freedom

At 19, I returned to Dublin, my birthplace, for a year, reconnecting with my roots and experiencing life in a completely different environment. At 21, I moved to Sydney to pursue a career in events, eager to explore opportunites and challenge myself professionally. Over the next ten years, my career took me to Dubai and Manila, before returning to Sydney.

Each place I lived taught me something unique – about people, communities, and the freedom to chase your goals. These experiences shaped my understanding of the importance of personal and professional freedom, and the value of building strong networks that support families, businesses and communities.

Eventually, we returned to Perth to settle down and raise my family. Starting my own business in Kingsley, I gained firsthand insight into what it takes for local businesses to thrive, the challenges they face, and how vital it is for communities to support one another.

For me, freedom isn’t just about personal choice – it’s about ensuring our families, local businesses, and communities have the space, support and opportunities to flourish. That’s why I am standing for Council: to protect and empower the freedoms that make our City of Joondalup such a wonderful place to live, work and play.
